Eyebrow shaping is the process of removing unwanted hair and sculpting your brows to their natural shape, creating balance to your face. With hair removal options for all skin types, you can choose from our eyebrow tweezing, waxing, or threading services. We can help you achieve a customized look that flatters your facial features and complements your personal style. Trust us; a good eyebrow shaping can make a huge difference in your overall appearance!

The time you wait between eyebrow shaping appointments can vary depending on your hair growth rate and the look you’re trying to achieve. In general, most people benefit from scheduling an appointment every 4–6 weeks. This allows enough time for your brow hair to grow out a bit, making it easier for your Motherpluckers Artist to shape your brows without removing too much hair. However, if you prefer a more defined look, or have fast-growing hair, you may need to schedule appointments more frequently. Ultimately, it’s best to consult with your Artist, who can recommend a schedule that works best for you, based on your needs and goals.

Waxing and threading are two common methods for shaping eyebrows. Waxing is a fast and efficient method that is ideal for normal to oily skin types, while threading is ideal for those with sensitive skin or those using active-ingredient skin care. This method uses a thin thread that is twisted to pull and remove hair from the root. While both methods can cause some discomfort, they are generally safe and effective for eyebrow shaping. Ultimately, the decision between waxing and threading may come down to personal preference and pain tolerance.

Ingrown hairs are a common problem that can occur when the hair is not fully removed, causing it to break on its way out. They happen when the hair grows back into the skin instead of up and out of the follicle. This can be caused by several factors, including improper technique, pulling the hair too aggressively, or using dirty tools that can introduce bacteria to the area. Additionally, those with curly or coarse hair are more prone to ingrown hairs.

To help prevent ingrown hairs, it’s important to use proper techniques when shaping the brows and to keep the area clean and free from bacteria. Regular exfoliation can also help to remove dead skin cells and prevent hair from becoming trapped under the skin. If you experience frequent ingrown hairs, it’s best to consult with your Motherpluckers Artist, who can recommend personalized tips and treatment options to help you manage this issue.

Redness after eyebrow shaping is a common side effect that can be caused by the removal of hair from the skin. To reduce redness and soothe the skin after shaping, there are several things you can do:

  • Apply a cold compress: Placing a cold, damp cloth or ice pack over your brow area can help to reduce inflammation and soothe your skin.
  • Use aloe vera: Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to reduce redness and soothe your skin. Apply a small amount of aloe vera gel to your brow area and gently massage it in.
  • Avoid makeup: To allow your skin to breathe and heal, it’s best to avoid wearing makeup around your brow area for at least 24 hours after shaping.
  • Avoid touching the area: Touching or rubbing your brow area can further irritate your skin and make the redness worse. Try to avoid touching the area and keep your hands away from your face.
  • Apply a gentle moisturizer: A gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer can help to hydrate your skin and reduce redness. Look for a product that’s specifically formulated for sensitive skin.

Remember, redness after eyebrow shaping is normal and should subside within a few hours to a day. If you experience prolonged redness or other signs of irritation, like itching or swelling, it’s best to consult with your Motherpluckers Artist, who can recommend personalized tips and treatment options to help soothe your skin.

Eyebrows come in many shapes and sizes, and we offer eyebrow services for all types. Some are wide, some dense with hair, and some barely there. It’s true that we can only work with what we have, but how can we make what we have look like more?

  • Eyebrow tinting will add density to sparse brows and provide semi-permanent colour to light hair
  • Eyebrow lamination can provide instant fluffiness by allowing the hairs to stay up with little to no effort
  • Eyebrow waxing is also a great way to give brows a fuller look by creating sharp lines and making sense of new growth so they can be incorporated into your current brow styling routine
